Got the dress I ordered from Overstock.com today. I think it looks all right? It's pretty low cut, both in the front and back, so that's something I'm going to have to work around.

New passport also got here, and the picture is once again verging on terrifying. SIGH. At least my ID picture isn't too bad?

Since my passport is here, I might go get a haircut in Soo Canada on one of my days off. It was warm in the store today so I put my hair up, and Jessica took a picture of the back of my head because Muffinz wanted to see what I looked like with a ponytail. First time I noticed how goddamn long my hair is. It's definitely time for a trim/cut.

The 4th of July is always hectic on the Island, this year being no exception.

It started off wonderfully with my mom being a dear and washing my uniform for me. Only she forgot to put it in the dryer after it was done washing. :| So I wore a t-shirt, three year old khakis (which still fit, thank God), and my MSHP pullover. Luckily it didn't get too hot and I didn't roast.

Megan and I decided to stay after our shifts were over and check out the festivities up at the Fort. Megan was a dear and loaned me a shirt so I didn't have to walk around in my gross t-shirt, but nothing terribly exciting was going on so we just sat and people watched.

Then I came home, showered, ate, and now want to sleep forever.

Holy shit.

I come home to find Farrah Fawcett AND Michael Jackson are dead? I just... wow.

That's hard to process. I knew Farrah wasn't doing well at all, but Michael Jackson... that's right out of the blue. They were both so iconic.

MJ had his problems, but motherfucker could sing. Old school Michael Jackson will always be the King of Pop.


Needless to say, ONTD is in lockdown.

MOVING ON... I did not die today, and a little girl told me I was pretty. Maybe I should wear my hair up more often and not only when I'm in danger of severely overheating. ALSO, is it too much to ask that people wait until at least 8PM to get drunk? A boat is a very restricted area when there are drunk creepers around.

Since I'm almost finished with my interesting yet tedious raven ornithology book, I decided to cave and order The Complete Sherlock Holmes: All 4 Novels and 56 Short Stories.

Also, it is going to be hellishly hot tomorrow and I will be outside climbing gigantic hills in it. :( If I die, know that I loved you all.

Can we just talk for a second about how hot Willem Dafoe manages to be, despite the fact that he looks like a fucking psychopath?

Because seriously. All access pass to my pants, Mr. Dafoe.

It was brutally hot at the end of the day today, even though it started off chilly. If it was never summer, just really long springs, that would be fine with me 100%.

-A fox snake (or a milk snake)
-A bb chipmunk and a mommy chipmunk. The baby kept chasing people's shoes and the poor mother was very agitated (pictures are possible).

Hopefully the three don't meet.

I swear there was something else other than "Look! Kind-of wildlife!" but it's gone now.
